This application has amazing features. For one, it features 10GB of cloud storage that you can use to back up all your documents. It supports different types of formats like PDF, video and Microsoft Office among others that you can upload. The app also gives you offline access to all your folders. In addition to this, you get five-level security controls which ensure your files are safe and secure. You can also add comments to them to send feedback if need be and search for any document you want within the cloud using the search tool. Last but not least, you can open them with numerous partner apps.
Box is compatible with iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Android mobile. The needed version is iOS 10.0 or later for Apple users; but it varies with devices when it comes to Android.
Ease of Use
This app is very easy to use and very convenient for file storage. It also has a good performance. It does not crash, and it is not prone to screen freezes. From the time I got it, I have never experienced any challenge. Nonetheless, I have to say I was really disappointed after making the recent update. When I updated my app, it stopped supporting GIF. This is frustrating because it is one of the things I love the most about the app. However, I noticed that the performance and stability of the app have improved in the latest version.
Box has a neat and straightforward interface. I like that some of the UI elements are conveniently located at the bottom of the screen. This makes it very easy to complete tasks. The overall design is simple with a blue and white theme which suits the app.
Box is free but offers in-app purchases that give you access to the premium version which has more cloud storage and additional features. The premium version options are Personal Pro Annual Subscription ($79.99) and Personal Pro ($99.99).
- Provides access to a lot of cloud storage space;
- It is very convenient;
- Very user-friendly.
- The premium versions are very expensive;
- The latest version doesn’t support GIF;
- Uses up battery power fast.
Box is a good alternative to Dropbox. It has a lot of cloud storage space and great features which are easy to use. I have been using the app for a while, and I have to say I prefer it to Dropbox. I would recommend it to anyone in search of a reliable and convenient syncing and storage application.
